The Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz) with its main attraction, the world-famous Bastei can be attained by wanderers in only half an hour.

You will reach the historic centre of dresden, capital of Saxony, with nearly 800 years of history in half an hour by car. Visit the Seperoper (Semper opera house), the Zwinger, the world-famous Gemaeldegalerie (art galery) with the old master´s collection or the Frauenkirche (our Lady´s church). Modern malls invite you to shopping expeditions. And if you get tired by strolling around, sit down at one of the numerous restaurants and street-cafes and enjoy the outstanding panache of this art- and culture-city.

Pirna, with it´s adorable Old town that came back to life after the great flood in 2002, is only 10 kilometres away.

Have a look out of your flat´s window at the dobrahof and you can see Stolpen with it´s famous castle. It is only 5 kilometres away. There you can also experience a load of Saxon history. Elector August the Strong, King of Poland and constructor of the Zwinger in Dresden, banned his mistress, Countess Cosel at this castle.
